I wouldn't say "regular" - the RCs were few and far between. IIRC, there were only two RC squads, Omega and Delta. That trading card character is Scorch from Delta Squad. The Omega Squad are the RCs who wore the matte black armor. The only diff between Delta squad and Omega squad, is that Delta has the video game of those specific characters and action figures of those specific characters. The Delta guys have the two books, the short story, and the artwork in the Insider. If Delta squad has been accepted, then so should Omega. I haven't looked at the 501st DB to see if "Scorch" has been an accepted costume - even though that guy has the armor on a trading card...
